[WK3-T] What's up?

1 What's been going on?

A lot of stuff haha. I'll just write as bullet points:

 

1. I've talked with the associate product director for a fortnightly catch up

=> I'll be working on product side of things from sprint 24 (about 2 weeks from now), doing about page and stuff. already got the ticket for it.

=> seems the associate product director really knows what interns want. the ticket i'm working on at the moment is more self-directed, no time-pressuring task (as there's no deadline) but it's also something that I get to take the handle of and something that's valuable as a whole (like pitching ideas for improvement, documenting and integrating solutions)

 

2. finished writing up the woki for storybook design system integration and had a slack chat with my buddy (intermediate dev)

=> Read through my report. Said it was good, but also gave me pointers. Those pointers allowed me to look into things that I didn't pick up while I was researching:

- how it's done in other companies (atlassian design system is famous for design system)

- seeing how figma can be integrated through add-on ('design' addon)

- storybook blog post - how to document design system

=> my buddy is also seems to have a skill with saying things without directly saying anything.

 

=> that's sort of saying 'you missed out on these bits but here you go have a look', but in a nice way i think lol. gotta learn those skills :D

 

I was pretty tired for past 2 days so didn't really get much done other than filling stuff on woki. Part of the reasons being that I already had everything that I researched at hand and it was just on me to write about them. But now with the new pointers, I know what to work on, I think I have a good direction on where to go next.
