How to link a google site to a custom domain

I needed to connect www.nzpmc.com  to a google site that I own.

 

Firstly, go onto Google Search Console (search.google.com)

Press the menu, then on the dropdown, press Add property.

 

Then this will show up:

Then go onto Manage DNS setting on godaddy, and add the TXT record like such:

Mine got verified about 1 minute after doing the above steps

That should be it!

 

Edit:

There's another step to it.

Make sure to login as an admin of the google site, and under settings>Custom URLs, add the website domain you own.
